Why lead time varies

A simple single-sided FPC and a multilayer rigid-flex build are different products with different process steps. Lead time varies with layer count, materials, stack-up, tooling and assembly requirements. Ask for an estimate tied to your specific stack-up and quantity rather than a single generic number. File completeness is the fastest lever

Most delays start before production: missing Gerber layers, an incomplete BOM, or unclear finish requirements trigger back-and-forth review. Provide Gerber files or drawings, a BOM, target quantity, layer count, stack-up, material, copper weight and finish up front. Complete files move into review faster; incomplete files add time.

Stack-up complexity sets the baseline

Standard single- and double-sided flexible circuits generally involve fewer process steps than multilayer or rigid-flex builds. Confirm how complexity affects your schedule rather than assuming a fixed turnaround.
